Funicular For A Fiver

Ride The Funicular For A Fiver!

Following our annual maintenance shutdown, from Monday 2 to Monday 9 November inclusive, the Cairngorm Funicular will reopen to visitors on Tuesday 10 November, offering savings of up to 75% on tickets for the remainder of the month, while we continue to operate outside the snowsports season.

The Funicular For A Fiver offer runs from Tuesday 10 November to Monday 30 November, while Cairngorm Mountain is operating outside the snowsports season. If we open for snowsports before 30 November, the offer will end early as we transition to winter operations. Any tickets booked in advance will, of course, still be honoured at the price paid at the time of booking.

£1.00 tickets for Cairngorm Mountain locals are available from the Ticket Office only and cannot be booked in advance. Please remember to bring valid ID showing proof of your local address when visiting.

If you have any questions please contact our bookings team on info@cairngormmountain.co.uk

Description

The Mountain Railway is open daily (weather permitting), please refer to our Mountain Report for the latest on conditions.

The Mountain Railway runs regularly throughout the day, timing's and the speed of the train may vary depending on the time of year. During the Winter, we run a fast service to get skiers and snowboarders up the mountain quickly. In the Spring, Summer, and Autumn the service will often be slower to allow visitors to enjoy the views on the journey.

The Cairngorm Conservation Plan is currently active so there is no access for Mountain Railway passengers onto the mountain or hillwalking.

Mountain Railway passengers must not have large rucksacks or hiking equipment with them. Dogs are not permitted to travel from the Base Station to the Top Station on the Mountain Railway, with the exception of assistance dogs. Pet dogs can travel down on our railway if visitors have walked up the mountain to the Top Station.

Please ensure you have read our terms and conditions before booking.
